ABE offers an adult high school completion program or equivalency certification. Generally, adults successfully completing their individualized learning plans are well prepared for technical programs or post secondary (college); there is no charge for ABE services

CIS helps families with questions or concerns about their pregnancy or young child by providing child development & family support services previously offered by 3 separate programs:         
Healthy Babies, Kids & Families (HBKF) in-home nursing and family support services.-         
Family, Infant & Toddler Program (FITP) resources and services for families of children birth to three who have questions about their children's development.

Children’s UPstream Services (CUPS) provides consultation & case management to families with children 0 - six who are experiencing challenging emotional & behavioral issues.

 With parent involvement as a cornerstone, Head Start offers a program that includes child development, health & nutrition and services for family and community partnerships. Head Start serves children ages 3 to 5.
 Early Head Start offers individual attention & home visits for you & your child. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and appropriate activities to use with your child.  Early Head Start serves children from prenatal to age 3.
Vt. Family Matters is relationship skills education that utilizes Dr. John Gottman’s Loving Couples, Loving Children curriculum.

Provides mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilities services for children and adults in the Northeast Kingdom.

  • Story Hour held 3 times per month at the Barton Public Library on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 9:30 am - noonish.  Contact Jessica Poirier for information.This runs with the school calendar and may cancel in case of inclement weather. 525-6524
